Brief
An e-commerce brief solved as a piece of art direction: a clandestine circuit where each night a mask opens a district of Tokyo. The challenge wasn't the CRUD, but making a PHP coursework project feel like a brand object.
Process
Brief
A Web Portals and E-Commerce assignment asked for a shop with a catalog, a blog and admin CRUD. The decision was not to ship a generic CRUD but a brand with its own fiction: Tokyo's night shift and six identities.
Model
A Laravel 13 monolith: Eloquent, migrations and seeders for 6 masks and 5 transmissions on SQLite. Session auth, mask reservations and an admin panel behind role middleware. Five custom Blade components.
Piece
Editorial-cyberpunk art direction with a closed visual system in Tailwind v4 tokens: an Archivo Black masthead in fill and outline, a monospaced HUD, marquees and a portrait per mask. Lenis scroll and IntersectionObserver reveals, switched off with prefers-reduced-motion.
Outcome
A Laravel 13 monolith with Eloquent, migrations and seeders on SQLite: a catalog of 6 masks and a blog of transmissions, with session auth, mask reservations and a role-gated admin panel. A closed visual system in Tailwind v4 tokens, Lenis smooth scroll and reveals that respect prefers-reduced-motion.
